Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information YardListed, operated by Data Decisions, Inc., collects, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers yardlisted.com, the YardListed app and the YardListed widget on dealers’ websites.
Information we collect
- Buyers who contact a dealer: your name, company, email, phone, message, the unit you asked about, whether you agreed to text messages, and technical details (IP address, browser, the page you were on).
- Dealers and their team members: account details (name, email, phone), business details, listings and photos, and settings. Payments are handled by Stripe; we don’t store card numbers.
- Data dealers upload: dealers may import their own customer, contact and sales records to manage follow-up. We hold this on the dealer’s behalf and use it only to provide the service to that dealer.
- Usage: pages viewed, listing views and basic logs, used to run and secure the service. We use only cookies needed for sign-in and core features; we don’t use advertising cookies on yardlisted.com.
- Phone app: photos you choose to upload, and a push-notification token if you turn on lead alerts. Photo location data is removed before photos are stored.
How we use it
- To deliver your inquiry to the dealer you contacted and let them reply.
- To run dealer accounts: listings, lead alerts, billing, support and service emails.
- To prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and to keep the service secure.
- To improve YardListed using aggregated statistics.
Text messages
If you tick “OK to text me”, the dealer may text you about that unit and similar equipment. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Your consent is recorded with the time, the page and the wording you agreed to. We don’t sell or share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Who we share information with
- The dealer you contact, who uses it to respond and follow up under their own privacy practices.
- Service providers that run parts of YardListed for us: hosting and storage (Amazon Web Services, MongoDB Atlas, Cloudflare), email (Mailgun), payments (Stripe), push notifications (Expo, Apple, Google) and the text-messaging service a dealer connects. They may use the information only to provide those services.
- Advertising platforms (Meta), only to run ads a dealer requests, using listing information. We don’t send buyers’ contact details to ad platforms.
- When required by law, or to protect people and the service from fraud or harm.
We don’t sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and customer records are kept while the dealer’s account is active, or until the dealer or you ask us to delete them. Logs and security records are kept for a limited period. Closed dealer accounts are deleted on request or after a reasonable retention period.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any email, and from texts by replying STOP.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing support@yardlisted.com. If a dealer holds your information, we may refer you to that dealer.
- California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don’t sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Security and children
We protect information with encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. YardListed is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16.
